They crave to be the center of attention and love to be the center of all family activities. They will sleep with you, play with you and are always wanting to be with you. They are great lap dogs, and will be your companion for movie nights too. Dachshunds are protective of his/her family and may bark when he/she senses an out of the ordinary event.
